Final Foliage Report
The start of November 2006 gives us the final foliage report for New England of 2006.
Leaf drop is high throughout all areas of Southern New England. Spotty showings of colors can still be seen in the most extreme portions of southern New England, points nearest to the shore but for all intent and purpose the 2006 season has ended. The season was an ok one, several storms and wind events brought down many leaves and when they did not the forecast of such a storm scared away some. Data will be out soon from the various travel associations and we will be happy to share that with you. However now the time is to focus on the forgotten holiday Thanksgiving, forgotten because no one really decorates that much anymore for Thanksgiving... it has become an eating and football watching event. With this in mind we will give you information in future blogs on where to go to see Thanksgiving decorations (if we can find any).
Until then enjoy your autumn!
