What's New This Summer? - Dog Watch Cafe - Stonington Borough, CT
The shoreline ... one usually equates this with seaside dining, lobster rolls, clam cakes and more... Connecticut has long seen it's shoreline owned by private homeowners, private beach associations and the like, has now seen new clam shacks, lobster shacks and the like popping up at marinas and business areas from Greenwich to Pawcatuck.
A new place to check out offering standard seaside fare (sandwiches, oysters, clams etc...) is The Dog Watch Cafe in Historic Stonington Borough, Ct. Just minutes from the interstate and located right on the waterfront this little borough is far enough away from the interstate that it is actually a small task for those not familiar with the area. Easiest way is to find Route 1 follow North until you see small signs for "Stonington Borough" just before you reach (a few miles) Pawcatuck on the Rhode Island border.
